Cycling tourism
Elba island also has numerous stretches of gentle ups and downs and meandering stretches that make the ride very pleasant and never boring. Our B&B is an excellent starting point for those wishing to visit the island by bicycle. There are also specialized shops to contact for any repairs and for the purchase of useful accessories. The routes are almost always flat and do not present challenging climbs. The scenic roads run along the coast offering wonderful views of the local beaches and cliffs.
Streets of wine
Most of the wine producing farms are part of the Strada del Vino dell’Isola d’Elba consortium. This association intends to protect and enhance the wine-growing activity of the area especially towards tourists. The road is in fact a real itinerary along which you meet wineries, wine bars, farms where you can taste the wine of the island.
The excellences of the area are the passito wines such as Moscato, Ansonica and the famous Aleatico. This type of wine goes perfectly with sweets, desserts and dry pastries and is highly appreciated both locally and internationally. Elba also produces some white and red wines, from Vermentino to Procanico, from Sangiovese to Syrah, with excellent results.
Diving center
The diving centers on Elba Island allow beginners and experts to enjoy the fantastic experience of diving into the depths of the archipelago. The coasts and bays of the island are particularly rich in marine life and curiosities, ideal for taking photographs and shooting very suggestive scenes.
The points where diving is allowed are very numerous, some stretches of sea, however, enjoy special protections so that the activity of the diving centers is prohibited.
Experienced divers and in any case cannot have fun discovering caves, landslides, shallows and submarine wrecks. In particular, the wrecks of the Elviscott ship and the Junker 52 ship, which crashed into the sea during the Second World War, are the subject of frequent excursions organized by the Elba diving centers.
Trekking
The territory of Elba Island has a great variety of natural environments enclosed within a few kilometers. Just move a little away from the beach to immediately reach the hills and therefore the highest peaks of the island. The paths that go up and down Monte Capanne are particularly panoramic and allow you to come into deep contact with the Mediterranean nature that covers its valleys and slopes. The local itineraries are classified according to duration and difficulty, they are suitable for everyone and reserved for experts with a good level of training.
